Lynley - General Manager
Lynley runs our Australasian business so she is the one most likely to call to discuss your requirements when you send in an enquiry or call our 0800 number. Once you have agreed to have your new CV done, Lynley assigns the appropriate consultant and is always available for any CV appraisals, quotes or queries. She is also actively involved in the peer review process as part of the senior and executive level packages. Lynley works alongside our recruitment agency partners and corporate clients requiring outplacement services.
Lynley started with Global CV Solutions as a Senior CV Consultant so she is well equipped to know exactly what is required! As a former Copy Writer, Proof Reader and Senior Recruiter, Lynley has a background in marketing and management, reaching Director level for a major retail chain. Through working in an advertising agency on the client service side, Lynley ‘fell’ in to recruiting quite by chance and has never looked back. She worked as a generalist Recruitment Consultant for a well established company before forming her own recruitment business in 2006. With qualifications in advertising and marketing, Lynley’s strong commercial focus means she looks far beyond the CV and has a flair for understanding the 'big picture'. She is renowned for conducting comprehensive CV evaluations and for providing extensive career mentoring to her clients and consultants. She is also known for being glued to her laptop and being available 24/7!
Karen - Assistant Manager & CV Writer
With a background in recruitment, customer service and administration, Karen is Lynley’s right hand go-to girl assisting with the management of client enquiries, CV appraisals, sales and administration. In addition, Karen is a prolific CV writer so she is in an integral part of the senior consultancy team. Having worked as a generalist recruiter, Karen has broad knowledge in a variety of industries and has placed staff in roles ranging from office juniors and accountants through to health and safety specialists and engineers.
Before she entered the world of recruitment, Karen spent 7 years managing a busy fitness centre and was often found up on stage teaching up to 10 fitness classes a week. Karen has a Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature and a Diploma for Graduates in Management. She has a love of languages and all things French plus all her Global CV clients of course!
Allanah - Accounts
Every company has to have an Allanah! Based in Auckland, she does all our day to day accounts and GST along with a variety of other accounting and administration functions. Allanah has a background in working for recruitment agencies as well as a large portfolio of local clients.
Helen - Proof Reader
Every CV that comes through our system is proof read so there is a high chance, Helen will see it. Helen is our main Proof Reader and holds a Diploma in Book Editing, Proofreading and Publishing. Helen is a Graduate of the University of London and worked for several years as a senior manager in local government in the UK. Since moving to New Zealand five years ago, she has worked in the recruitment industry as a CV Editor and Proof Reader mainly in the construction and engineering sectors. Helen is our ‘eagle eyes’ who checks all final work to ensure your CV is error-free.
Priyanka - CV Formatter
With a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Computer Applications, Priyanka is our technical genius. Her main function is to ensure CVs are formatted correctly and she works in closely with the Consultants to make sure the CV format reflects the appropriate level of the client. Priyanka has 7 years experience in information technology, process outsourcing and project management.
Shweta - CV Formatter & Researcher
Shweta works for Global CV Solutions on a part time basis whilst she studies for her Masters of Commerce and Masters of Business Administration. With a Bachelor of Commerce already under her belt, Shweta is a highly qualified young lady who assists with CV formatting and proof reading. Her specialty is anything to do with the internet and online research so we call on her for a wide variety of projects.
Samara - Student Programme Manager & Career Coach
Samara is the co-ordinator and manager for our busy nationwide student and graduate programme which has become an increasingly popular area with school leavers and graduates wanting to prepare for the highly competitive job market. With Samara’s extensive generalist recruitment background, combined with her passion for working with young people, she is the perfect person to front this division. Samara has worked within the recruitment agency frame work and has run her own successful recruitment business since 2007 so she is well positioned to guide clients through the mine field of dealing with Hiring Managers and recruiters. To say ‘Sam’ is passionate about helping clients shine and succeed is an understatement!
Samara prepares and implements our individual and group interview coaching sessions as well as assisting with our outplacement work. Her passion lies in training and development with a real focus on personal development and growth. Samara is also one of our leading interview and recruitment coaches who works with clients at all levels to navigate the difficult employment market and daunting interview process including how to deal with recruitment agencies. If you need advice or help with entering the job market, Samara is the one to call!
Alisa - Professional Career Coach & CV Writer
Alisa is a long standing and senior member of the Global CV Solutions team who conducts many of our interview and career coaching sessions as well as being a prolific CV writer at senior and executive levels. Alisa also runs our internal coaching mentoring programme for consultants as she is passionate about empowering and developing others. Alisa has over 12 years experience working in both NZ and Australia within a wide range of industries including corporate, government, health, media, engineering and manufacturing.
Holding a Masters qualification in Mental Health Development and an undergraduate degree in Psychology, Alisa provides a range of career coaching services including career assessment and planning, interview coaching, CV development, outplacement coaching and personal branding sessions.
Alisa is an MBTI Practitioner for adult career assessment and has provided coaching services to adults after redundancy, looking for a career change, or requiring help with a professional CV. She is a certified Morrisby Practitioner for student career assessment assisting students with career planning for decisions around University courses, trade courses, apprenticeships, and job seeking. Alisa has literally written hundreds of CVs so she is highly competent at quickly grasping clients’ needs and presenting key criteria in the most advantageous way.
Ben - CV Writer & Career Coach
Ben brings extensive expertise to the Global CV Solutions team with broad HR generalist knowledge and in-house recruitment experience gained in London and New Zealand. Having worked in many high profile corporate sectors including telecommunications, banking, insurance and health industries, he brings strong commercial acumen, coupled with a down to earth, personable approach.
Ben holds a Diploma in Business majoring in HR, as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Career Development. Ben is passionate about delivering a professional and unique client-centric experience to all his customers. Ben is also actively involved in our outplacement and coaching services including offering his time after hours and during the weekends for those with busy schedules.
Carmen - CV Writer & Career Coach
Carmen joins the team with over 13 years international experience within the human resources field, including 8 years working at senior HR level. As a professional and qualified human resources generalist, she has developed extensive industry experience in hospitality, training and HR spanning the UK, Australia and New Zealand. With a proven ability in the operational and management field of hospitality coupled with a specialisation in training and development and HR, Carmen offers a wealth of expertise at all levels.
A Post Graduate Diploma in Business and a Certificate in Training and Development support Carmen’s wide ranging experience. With a passion for these sectors combined with further studying in coaching, Carmen thoroughly enjoys working with clients one-on-one to assist in successfully achieving career aspirations and dreams.
Eleanor - CV Writer & Career Coach
Eleanor has 15 years of generalist HR experience in New Zealand and Australia predominantly in the banking, telecommunications and IT fields. Having held senior roles in career and talent development, her expertise in relating to clients and making the most of their strengths is vital in her ability to produce excellent CV and cover letters.
With a degree in Organisational Development and a Graduate Certificate in career coaching, Eleanor thoroughly enjoys assisting clients to achieve their goals and pursue their dreams. With an extensive background in training and development combined with senior level commercial experience, Eleanor is well positioned to coach clients at all levels across subjects including targeted selection, corporate protocols, behavioural interview training and competency-based questions.
Rachael - CV Writer
Rachael joined Global CV Solutions after returning from working in the UK as a Talent Manager. With a background in HR and recruitment management, coupled with a degree in Education, Rachael knows exactly what employers are looking for and is the ideal person to assist with writing CVs for all levels. She particularly enjoys working closely with those in their early career and from the education sector to carefully construct a CV and cover letter that will differentiate them from other applicants. Rachael’s experience, combined with her good natured and approachable personality, makes her easy to talk to and skilful at providing support and advice throughout the whole process.
Jill - CV Writer
Following 15 years in HR roles in commerce, Jill is a professional writer who combines CV writing for Global CV clients with her career as a novelist, writing consultant and publisher. For 11 years she was a generalist HR practitioner, recruiting to Board-level in shipping, manufacturing, engineering and telecommunications, before becoming Director of Training and Development for a UK multi-national in the telecoms field. As you might imagine with that background, Jill is passionate about helping others to reach their full potential, and takes time with each client to ensure she gets every piece of relevant information then polishing the CV and cover letter so it stands out from the crowd. Jill assists clients at all levels but predominantly focuses on the senior and executive space and she is often the one who gets called on to work all night to meet urgent applications!
David - CV Writer
David has an extensive background in health recruitment with a variety of countries in North America, South Asia, the Arabian Gulf, Western Europe, the Caribbean, as well as Australia. This includes the recruitment of nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals, plus senior academics and senior executives. With a background as a health professional David has held significant roles in government relations, advocacy, professional bodies, the media and medical publishing.
David is famous for being meticulous at delivering a comprehensive and detailed CV with many of his clients signing off at draft stage! David is a huge researcher and prides himself in understanding even the most complex of roles. He is also known as one of the workaholics in the team who never says no to an urgent turnaround, even if it means working all night. David assists a broad cross section of our clients but tends to focus on the more academic, technical and scientific roles, especially at senior level.
Tania - CV Writer & Career Coach
Tania is one busy lady who juggles working for Global CV clients as well as running her own recruitment advisory business. With 13 years working for some of New Zealand’s leading telecommunications companies, Tania assists many of our technology and communications clients across all levels. With over 10 years recruitment experience including several international leadership roles combined with more than 4 years in HR and Talent Acquisition, Tania also has experience developing career management programmes and setting up new recruitment centres. Having worked with teams in 9 different countries, Tania has a global perspective to offer her clients which range from graduates through to senior level executives.
Tania thrives on personal development and holds a NZ Diploma in Business, NZIM Diploma in Management and is a qualified MBTI practitioner as well as numerous other accreditations and professional memberships. With well-rounded skills and a wealth of experience to share, Tania is one of those consultants who most definitely goes the extra mile for her clients to ensure they achieve the maximum out of their Global CV experience.
